ISOLFON RECORK
Product Description
ISOLFON ReCork is produced from recycled elastomeric material and cork connected with polyurethane adhesive.
It has great elasticity and is a certified and cost-effective solution in the market of cork elastic anti-vibration underlays. It is easy to install and can be used in a wide range of applications that require sound insulation and anti-vibration protection from impact noise. It is suitable for all conventional floating floor applications and does not require additional cementitious topping to be properly loaded.
It is an ideal solution for floor sound insulation in hotels, apartments, and spaces that require high acoustic performance at a low cost, quickly
Dimensions: Roll 15x1m 3mm.
Application temperature limits: -30°C, +80°C
Thermal conductivity coefficient: 0.085 W/mK (EN12667:2002)
Apparent dynamic stiffness: 88 MN/m3 (EN 29052-1)
Installation:
Floating floors: Particularly useful in cases of large load-bearing floating floors (commercial spaces, production areas, warehouses with vehicle traffic, etc.). It should be noted that it should be overlaid with a reinforced cementitious topping of sufficient thickness to achieve a uniform distribution of applied loads.
Anti-vibration underlays: Particularly useful in cases of renovating floating floors where available space/height is limited. Under certain conditions, it can be installed on existing flat floors and, with the use of special adhesive, accept the application of ceramic tiles. Our technical department can assist you in choosing the right adhesive and guiding the application.
Wall soundproofing: Its use between parallel layers of gypsum boards ensures an increase in the soundproofing ability of the composite partition/ceiling. The alternation of intermediate layers of materials ensures higher sound insulation by smoothing out the ‘dips’ observed in the resonant frequencies of composite partitions. The elasticity of ReCork, due to the materials that compose it, contributes to the absorption of acoustic energy, acting as a ‘mass/spring’ system.
Environmental factors:
ISOLFON-ReCork is environmentally friendly as it comes from recycled car tires, is 100% recyclable, does not contain fibers or other harmful materials to health. It contributes to the green certification of LEED© buildings and to the Environmental and Ecological Assessment Method of BREEAM building constructions.
